Today at storytime, we read books and sang songs about cats. We also made a cat at craft time. Rachel glued it together on her own, no help from me! I wanted her to draw her own face, but she insisted that I do it. I have this thing about the child doing the project on their own...letting them do it the way they want and not the "right" way. But, I did it. She told me that the mouth was wrong and drew a smile underneath my mouth. :) That makes me happy. SO, I am proud to introduce Meow, the fuzzy purple kitty. Rachie says he likes to smile and fly ploo-planes (airplanes). Sounds like a fun kitty to get to know! Oh, look for his smile...underneath the boring mouth I drew!
