We are now the proud owners of a guppy fish named "Cookie Brownie Ard." Jake's class was learning about fish and now that they are done, some of the kids got to bring home a fish. Jake was one of the lucky ones! I felt so bad for the tiny thing though. It was stuck in a plastic cup with a lid and carried home by a 1st grader (who walks with 4 other kids). Reminded me of "Darla the fish killer" on Finding Nemo. It was freaking out every time anyone came near it.
We went to the pet store and got it a little bowl and some food. Tonight I am thinking we will be headed out to Walmart to buy some rocks for it's bowl. Jake wants to get it a few friends..."one of them has to be a boy so that they can have babies." Not so sure I want a million guppies floating around on my kitchen counter!
I am surprised that Pinchy our hermit crab lasted as long as he did. Good luck with your new fishy!
