So, because we went to the beach for spring break, and a few other unexpected things that have come up, we are pretty broke for a while. The biggest challenge has been coming up with meals that actually have some sort of variety and that people will eat, using what I have in the house. My kids think they are being deprived because we haven't had any cheese in the house for two weeks. Last night I found two cans of baked beans in the garage and a package of hot dogs in the freezer. I remember my dad making us baked beans and hot dogs when I was a kid, so I made them for us! :) Of course, only Steve, Rachie and I ate them without complaining. Jake didn't like the beans and Becka didn't like the hot dogs. At the daycare where I used to work, we called it "beanie weenie." Fun memories and a cheap dinner all in one!!!
