Today I cleaned Jake's room. Now that his clothes are bigger, he has been needing a dresser, but we aren't able to get him one for a bit. About a month ago, I found a two drawer plastic storage bin type thing on clearance and decided that it would work great until we can scrounge up the money for a dresser. I was organizing it when he got home from school that afternoon, and he didn't like the way I was doing it. He said he wanted to do it his own way. I reluctantly agreed, with the stipulation that if his room was still messy after a little bit, I would do it my way. Guess what!?! Storing your Star Wars cards, swimsuits, t-shirts and legos in one drawer doesn't always work out the way you think it would when you are 7 years old. We hadn't been able to walk in his room for most of the month since he "organized" it. So, I spent all morning redoing it. Here is the end result! Much, much better. Well, at least to me.
