This morning I decided that since we have a zoo pass, we need to use it more often. Rachie and I left as soon as the big kids were off to school and enjoyed a fun morning at the zoo together. We got there about 10 minutes before they opened, and it was really cold, but it was lots of fun. For the first couple of hours, we hardly saw anyone else, so it was like we had the whole zoo to ourselves! Plus, it was the first time that I can remember being able to park right away and not having to drive around for 30 minutes looking for a parking spot. We were the first car in the row right outside the entrance!
Rachel really liked the eagles and the goats, and enjoyed playing in the sandbox. This picture is of her on one of the wooden horses in the farm area. We went into the barn to play and warm up a bit.
we LOVE the zoo! we bought passes as well and we are so excited to be able to go to zoos here around maryland for free! gotta' love a good bargain.
